I was born and raised in London, England. I studied there until age 17. I then studied at a Yeshiva in New Jersey for 2 years, and 1 year in California. I received Smicha (Rabbinical Ordination) in Sydney, Australia. In the year 2000, I married Esty Stiefel, from Montreal and we have eight children - Mendy, Tzvi, Shloimy, Rivka, Sarah, Freigy, Yoel, and Chana. I worked in Young Israel of Montreal as a Cantor from 2001 until 2006.
I am responsible for reading the Torah, taking care of Yartzeits, helping out with all services and life cycle events, helping newcomers, supervising Kashrut at ADATH ISRAEL POALE ZEDEK ANSHEI OZEROFF under the supervision of the rabbi, visitng members in the hospital or at home, and teaching. You can usually find me at shul in the mornings for shacharit and in the evenings for Mincha/Maariv.
